1981 saw the first of what has become thought of as the NZ Stockcars Team Championship take place .
Every year since then the Palmerston North Showgrounds stadium has packed out with fans from all over NZ in support of their home track teams .
Up in the air in the picture above is 36P Brian Anderson while 44V Evan Mooney is the other car..
Both drivers were class acts throughout their driving careers .
